We don't run a call center, when you call, you're talking to someone who knows what a stripped nylon gear or a seized torsion bearing looks like, and can usually tell you over the phone whether it's a quick fix or a bigger job. If we're on a job already, leave a message with your address and what the door is doing (or not doing) and we'll call back.
One honest note: we don't carry every part for every door on the truck. Some openers and older torsion setups use hardware that isn't stocked locally, and if that's your situation we'll tell you up front what the wait looks like before we start anything.

The Work We Take On
Housing in this area was built mostly between 1938 and 2014, with a median build year of 1957, and across the 50 named areas we cover the stock skews heavily pre-1960. That means a lot of original one-piece doors, side-mounted torsion springs, and openers that have been swapped once or twice but still ride on the original track. We work on all of it: broken springs, off-track doors, cable and roller replacement, opener repair and replacement, and full door swaps when the old one's done.
This region sits in a severe cold climate band, and that matters for garage doors more than people expect, cold makes springs more likely to snap on the first cold snap of the season, and it stiffens nylon rollers and gear teeth until they crack. We see more spring failures in the cold months than any other time of year.
What we don't do: custom architectural doors or specialty finish work. If you want raw repair, panel replacement, opener swaps, or a straightforward new door on standard track, that's our lane. Do you work on older torsion spring setups from the 1950s and 60s?
Yes, a lot of the doors we see are on original side-mounted torsion hardware from homes built in that era. Parts for the oldest setups sometimes take longer to source, but we can usually adapt the mounting to modern hardware if the original part isn't available.
How far out from Washington do you go?
We work Washington, PA and out to roughly 15-17 miles, covering towns like Canonsburg, McMurray, Bridgeville, and Burgettstown. If your town isn't on our list, call and ask, the coverage area isn't a strict cutoff.
Why do springs seem to break more in winter?
Cold makes steel more brittle and the constant flex on a torsion spring finds that weak point fast. We're in a severe cold climate band here, and spring calls pick up noticeably once temperatures drop for the season.
